Here we are at the end of June, almost, and I’m not ready. Summer is my favorite and I hate when it goes by so fast. My husband and I have been having the most lazy month and it’s been great. Today, I have a tag for you all. I was tagged by Emily @ Wicked Good Reads to do the What’s On My Bookshelf Tag. Be sure to head over and check her blog out. She is so nice and has some great content on her blog.
1. Link back to the original creator, Naty @ Naty’s Bookshelf
2. Also link back to the person who tagged you!
3. Name one book for each category. Try not to repeat books to make this more fun!
4. Tag at least 5 people.
A Library Book
Okay, so I don’t actually have a library book. I know I should probably check out the library’s that are near me but I haven’t. Looks like we are off to a great start on this tag (yeah right!)
A Book You Got as a Gift
Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng. I received this book for Christmas from one of my close cousins. I read it earlier this year and thought it was okay. But most people who read it, absolutely love it.
A Childhood Book
Milk and Cookies by Frank Asch. This was my favorite book when I was a child. I lost my childhood copy so last year, I bought another edition.
A Magical Book
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by J.K. Rowling. Of course Harry Potter has to make this list. It’s the most magical of all!
A Romantic Book
Alex, Approximately by Jenn Bennett. This is a recent read for me and I really loved it! It has a very cute romance, though it was so obvious, and I highly recommend it.
A Steamy Book
A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas. One of my favorite books of all time!
An Old Book
The Beauty and the Beast by Gabrielle-Suzanne Barbot de Vileneuve. This book was originally published in 1740 which makes it the oldest book on my shelves that I have read.
A Book That Makes You Happy and/or Laugh
Love & Luck by Jenna Evans Welch. Another recent read for me. I was happy when this was my first arc ever and it’s such a cute story that had me smiling the entire time.
A Book That Makes You Emotional
Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo. Seriously balled my eyes out reading this book. But totally worth it!
A Book Whose Ending You Dislike
The Museum of Intangible Things by Wendy Wunder. Though I only gave this book 1-star, I can say that it started out okay. But the story took a turn that I didn’t expect and I didn’t like it.
A Book You Wish Had Illustrations
An Enchantment of Ravens by Margaret Rogerson. I never really think about illustrations unless they are actually in a book so this was hard to think of. But this book has a beautiful cover with beautiful writing and it’s such a short fantasy novel that I think the illustrations would be beautiful.
A Book or Genre That You Love Reading When It’s Raining
Reading any book while it’s raining is just so comforting and cozy. Though if I have to choose one book or genre I’d say contemporary. I like some cute romance during a light rain or a thunderstorm.
If you have already completed this tag, or you don’t want to, don’t feel obligated to do it. I thought it was fun and thought you might like it as well. And if I didn’t tag you, and you would like to do this tag, then consider yourself tagged! Thanks for reading, cya!
