So after reading Milk and Honey, and not loving it, I didn’t want to give up on poetry. So I picked this up at Target and I loved it! Despite there being a lot of negative reviews, I really enjoyed this collection. A lot of poems really made me feel so happy and really thinking about certain situations in my life. I’m just going to share a few of the ones that I enjoyed.

I think it’s beautiful
the way you sparkle
when you talk about
the things you love.

She was that wild thing I loved.
My dark between the stars.

Her heart was wild
but I didn’t want to catch it
I wanted to
run with it
to set mine free.

And of course if you have read this collection, then you know the island poem at the end and it’s just beautiful. It’s a lot longer than the rest of the poems in this so I highly encourage you to pick this up and I hope that you will enjoy it as much as I did.RachaelInstagramPinteresttumblrTwitter
